Suitability
This satellite receiver is suitable for the Aurora Service on Optus C1. It is also suitable for any other free to air satellite service (KU & C Band)Software Updates
This receivers requires a software update to activate a new Aurora Smartcards. Software updates are easily done via the USB port. The .stb software file is available from Strong Australia's website http://strong.com.au/Software.htmlTo complete a software update
1) download the .stb file to the usb thumb stick
2) plug the thumb stick into the USB port on the front panel
3) press MENU on the remote control
4) select USB and then DATA TRANSFER
5) select the relevant .STB file
6) leave the receiver to update and reboot itself. DO NOT turnt the receiver off or remove the USB stick until it has complete rebooted.Set Up
Please note: This receiver does not come pre-loaded with channels. A video on how to load the channels and how to set up the receiver can be found below.DVR Ready
This receiver is'dvr ready', meaning it requires a memory unit to record. You can use an external hard disk drive or a thumb stick. If using an external HDD please ensure it has it's own power source and is not powered via usb port. (ie a HDD with just a single usb cable are not suitable) If you would like to purchase a USB Stick to enable recording, please considered our 4GB USB Stick.
